Dave, actually the food is better in Lafayette. Heavier influence of Cajun cooking, spices, excellent assortment of meats and sausages. I've been growing my own peppers for about the last 7 years- cayennes, habaneros, jalapenos, tiny pequinos- all the hot ones- Mike
