Hello magnusmilitaria, generally you/your friends are right, FKappmesser are faked (what is not?). I am no expert concerning FKM but to my best knowledge, mostly knives which can be disassambled are faked, I am not sure if those fixed knives are too (but again, what is not faked).
Also generally your knife looks like those I know as originals. Also in certain details.
What I personally like less concerning your knife is the deep mm on the blade (all I have and know do have a very shallow WEYERSBERG etching) and I also would like to see a better pic of the L5 proof eagle.
I hope some experts on these knives also jump in.

Im also not expert for this FJ messer.
Details re good, blade is sharpened but thats not so important like if is original or not.
If someone ask me for description I will say original knife but havy cleaned ,polished and sharpened.
Someone want to have this knife for every day use.
Shore I ll take few more macro pics and post it.

Hello Magnus ,

you are right to be prudent with this kind of knife : fakes are numerous and their quality become better : all the first "mistakes" are now corrected !

to my opinion your FKm looks good ,just a little doubt about the maker's engraving on the blade :a better pic could permit an evaluation.

all the best = S +
