hi gottlieb wow great looking polish honor ring box and very fancy rope design great looking . it appears to be old cast iron base oak leafs with acorns painted gold the person who created this fancy ring box out of to me appears to be a very old ink well probly c late 1800s early 1900s man thats the cats meow what some ones imagination can make thanks very much for showing us guys here on the ring forum something different and neat god bless andy militarynut
