Could you give us some more photos. We need the cross guard detail and a close up of the scabbard insignia. also, any markings on the blade?

hi Jim,,,sorry this is all the pics the seller has sent,but they said it was Imperial German,whereas I guess it is British,,,Thanks,,,Robert

Not a German sword but an Austro-Hungarian Civil Service sword. Worn by State Officials (Beamte) and not the military. There are several varieties with slight differences depending upon the official.

thanks alot Orpo,,,what sort os value can assigned to this item?. Seller wants $450.00....thank you ,,Robert I think that would be full retail and probably a bit overpriced. Since it is not a military sword I see them sell for around $350. - $400.
