It looks like a parts piece to me. The crudeness of the fittings could be from pitting to the metal, but the condition of the grip and blade don't match the condition of the rest of the dagger. Also, photos are not the best.
I would be shocked to see any type of reproduction incorporate the formed scabbard throat on an aluminum based scabbard with the over plating. JMO.
