Edged weapons are my main collection but I have always liked the look of a nice tunic. A short time ago I saw this being offered and being typically impulsive I had to have it. If you are a frequenter of other forums then excuse me if you havs seen it already Smile

Tunic is privately tailored and is flawless. not a pull or nip anywhere. As my first tunic I was blown away by the sheer quality & workmanship that went in to this.

There are two waffenfarbe to the sewn in boards that are for branch & reservist. The original hand sewn adler is just awesome IMO! This came complete with the original waistcoat but the shirt is not original. Neither unfortunately is the Knight cross but it does just add some colour and this was how it came to me.

I think this could be the thin end to another collecting wedge, hope you like it!

A fantastic example! You now need the Tuchrock and the Fliegerbluse to go with your 2nd pattern dagger and sword!!

Yes Tristan, but perhaps a winning lottery ticket first Smile
I don`t really collect Luftwaffe items and apart from a couple of daggers this is it. Waffenrock`s are nice so maybe something like that next but it is hard to get stuff that hasn`t been played with.

V,
A great looking set that almost makes you want to change your primary collecting focus........

Just think of the space factor and keep the faith Smile.

All joking aside, that really is a fabulous display item.

Thanks Degens, I hear you Smile

Tom, The problem is that I would want beautiful tunics and so far you seem to have the monopoly Big Grin Good stuff is very hard to find, I know, I`m always looking.

BTW the Horster 1st luft dagger came with the ensemble and it is an extremely nice example.

Larry, thanks. No, the dagger was added to the the ensemble by the previous owner who subsequently did not want to break the display up. I didn`t have one of these daggers so it was good for me.

The tunic is an early one and it is my understanding that the droop tailed eagle places this between 1935 & 1937.
