this ek1 appears to be made of silvered brass i can see a soldered joint so i assume its 3 piece construction but is it genuine?

not common but one runs across them ocassionaly,,,i heard many years ago,that supposedly the brass based material ones were for the Reichmarine/Kriegsmarine as they wouldn't rust from the salt water/air,...don't know if that is true or not,,never the less,they should have scarce status
