This has happened to me before on other web sites, and always a miscue somewhere.
I also know when I do something that will upset Dave enough to ban me.
So I figured it was just a glitch.
Dave confirmed everyone was banned.

Yep, major glitch but short lived. Neither Vern nor I could get in.
Apart from the following no one gets banned without warning:
- The Chinese gents (usually Shanghai) who try to flog purses, sneakers and similar crap.
- Folks who post long incomprehensible screeds advocating a particular religion or diet or communications with folks from other worlds.
- Folks who post porn links or hate messages.

Damn, with the glitch corrected I find myself enrolled in the platinum Obama care program! Vern, Dave HELP I can't afford this....I just got my Medicare card and am not eligible. I'll check back the end of Nov.

Yep, I was banned. I also panicked. Couldn't figure out what I might have done wrong. I have never had that happen on any other site. Glad it was a glitch / false alarm. In today's thin skinned environment, I might have unwittingly insulted someone..

I got the ban, thing with me is I tend to get banned from alot of forums for real so it had me wondering what I did, I haven't posted much lately so I drew a blank ,, Then I remembered this happened at least once before.

I was wondering if my TR edged weapons were considered porn when I saw that I was banned.
My second thought was that I had joined an elite subgroup of GDC, the GDC Banned.

Yes, we had a few but the Mods caught them early on so not many people saw them. One guy posted some very explicit pictures, too.
Mostly it is just the China-based ads for clothing, shoes, lady's accessories, and the like. Why they waste their time here ??

They probably figure if they get 1 sale out of 1,000 spam postings it will be worth it.
