Very nice RZM period dagger by a maker in Schmalkalden who didn;t appear to make early daggers.As good as RZM daggers get congrats

Not buying into this one. Blade appears to have been made yesterday, which I think it was. Have never before seen an RZM M7/69/38 mark. Have never seen an SA by Erbe.

There are collectors who have "Early Model SAs,, with stone mint blades, that even look better than the late Model SAs, and the early ones were 10 to 12 years prior to the late ones. 60 some years later they still look like they were made yesterday!
There are a few makers in the Schmalkalden area that are known for pimpling in their mottos, a trained eye will see that in the photo. I have one of those makers with a bad case of acne. Wink Best Larry

It's not the motto pimpling or mint blade condition that bothers me, it's the combination of blade condition with this RZM mark that I question. I don't have Siegert's book but have never seen an actual dagger with this mark. Would like to hear Dr. Mike's comments.
