I've bought this hanger out of a private source,2 weeks ago. The hanger comes with an unusual big ring,any thoughts welcome. Gerd

I think it was made with available parts when the original was lost or broke. The buckle with the roller looks period and so does the "dog lead" clip.
No reason for that big ring as the hanger was put on the ring on the scabbard.

Well, Kreta, I would buy it if I saw it.
Dump the big ring and put it on an early SA dagger.
