Roger, No etch/embellishment on either blade of the two swords shown. Both have plain blades but of very high quality. For some reason most of my older pieces with fancy fittings have plain blades and many with plain fittings have highly embellished blades. You would think they would put the two together but for some reason the older pieces tend to be that way. When i get my new camera, will take some better detailed pictures for the back sides of the fittings are as detailed and nice as the front side.
