THIS SWORD HAS LONG-WING HEER EAGLE AND FOLIATES ETCHED ON ONE SIDE OF BLADE, FOLDED WING (LIKE HELM DECAL) EAGLE ON THE OTHER.
ANYONE RECOGNIZE THE PATTERN BY THE HILT, AND SAY IF IT;S ONE OF THE SCARCE ONES?

David....the eagle looks very like the one on the sword on p. 145 of Angolia's 'Swords of Germany.' He says it is 'Unattributed' but identical to WKC pattern Nr. 20.
It looks more like an SS eagle than Heer!
Can you show pics of the blade?

Yes, a nice sword...if the price is $300 bite his hand off, but at $3000 I'm not so sure!!
