Been wanting to step up to a SS from the brownies. You think this looks ok? I like how they call it a "black gang dagger" LOL

I asm certainly not an expert, but it does not really take one here.

The blade on this has been seriously buffed. So I am not sure why the motto is so dark unless it has been colored.

Given that the blade is so bad, how could the scabbard have survived in such good condition. NOrmally the reverse is true.
The scabbard is trash but the blade is saved.

So you buy parts, then you need a grip with runes and eagle. Can't really find one. But you sink another $400 into a grip that does not fit.

Looks like a lot of money for a bunch of junk.

I think it looks pretty good! ,seller says he has the eagle, maybe the whole handle is intacted and good as well just cant show and sell them on ebay. I think a few questions to the seller should answer any concerns. but it looks like a good one to me

I would never buy an ss[or any]dagger from ebay. Buy from a reputable dealer, maybe spend a little extra, but feel secure about your purchase.I'm doing a layaway with a good dealer, since I cannot afford an outright purchase....

I think all parts are originals.(scabbard - additional photos are desirable). The price it is always relative. To my mind, early SS blade in such condition - 300$, SS crossguards 200-250$ . If the scabbard - anodized original , that 500$ minimum at least.
