Rich, My first SA bought "back in the day" is an Aesculap too! The fit and finish is great on these and hard to beat. Mine was all nicotine stained and I cleaned it up...rooky mistake!! It is still nice though..as is yours! I agree with Siegfried, someone cleaned the varnish off the grip. Tempting to so many because it is hard to find them with the varnish in good shape. Congrats!
