Jon Thank You - I noticed the quillions today when I got the dagger out for inspection they are quite unique almost like little stubs sticking up. I also like how the top of the crossguard head has been flattened. The early WKC guard seems to be the only close match to me? Your thoughts? Tom, That is a great dagger and I cannot even remember the last time I saw a C&J this early. I think you were very wise snapping this one up while you could. Without a doubt it is brass based throughout, it is a stunning addition. Congrats.
p.s The quillion swirls are interesting, I wonder if that is a feature seen on all early C&J's?.
