I can take no credit really, I realised many years ago the trick to getting good pictures was to stretch the budget a little further than normal and buy a camera that does all the work for you.
Most camera's only shine when they are given loads of natural light. My trusty Fuji S7000 died on a recent cross-country haul of the US, this new camera appears to be a fitting replacement, even with the filesize reduction for the forum.
