Does this have a chance at being real or just another fake?

With just a few pictures it is a hard call, but to me it looks like a repro.

Wait for other opinions before you write it off.

Between the grip and where the logo is should say alot!! Dont waste your computer electricity on having an interest on this one. If i had a choice between this dagger and a butter knife,, I would take the butter knife

When most of these early copy daggers were manufactured, they were made as reproductions to only resemble period daggers, they were not intended to pass as the real thing as they are often being sold today. Many were made by Reddick, Marto and even Attwood and all have fairly deliberate errors. Who would have thought there would be folks putting so much effort into trying to pass them off as original. Imagine in another 20 years what will pass as period Red

to even have this thing pictured on the site is an insult. Reminds me of the first Atwood bbok.

Luko: Don't hold your breath for these guys to buy a reference book. They would prefer to have us tell them what's real.

Red: I disagree. Except for Redick, these blades were made to rip people off.

I really wasn't sure if I should post those images here or in the humor section. Anyway, there was at least one bid before it got pulled. $495 I think? I'm sure that there are feverish negotiations going on behind the scenes as I type. The good thing to come out of this is that the next time a real dagger comes up there will be one dumb klutz out there with a little less cash to work with.
