Joe is quite right about the Roon. It is often underestimated because it looks plain compaired to the fussy lionheads. This sword was the most expensive in the Army lineup. It really was the top of the line Eickhorn Heer S�bel.
Geoff, you have a very nice example of the cream of the Eickhorn Army Swords.
Here is an example of the same sword with an etched blade. Sorry for the poor picture.
