That "growth" on the eagle neck is a speck of missing paint no more or less. This is a textbook examle of this gorget I posted for informational purposes and to allow others to compare with the other one that has obvious problems.
This is the primary reason many have quit posting here and have given up on trying to provide any sort of education. I suspect I will be joining that long list of non-posters.
