This is my one and only bayonet. Bought it about 20 years ago. It measures 14 and 3/4 in. and the blade is 9 and 15/16 in. The makers mark reads WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM & CO SOLIGEN. The hand guard is stamped L3167 and the spine is stamped C. There is also a funky stamping on the reverse of the spine that looks a bit like a star. If anybody can help identify it I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

It looks like Chilean M1895 bayonet made by WKC, normal production have stamped chilean crest on opposite ricasso, anytime with 3 circle stamp for material of blade. It could be the it was a depot piece or not delivered and proofed from chilean inspectors. Or was part of contract to other south American country, that used the same rifle. best regards,Andy

Thank you, Andy for your post. I had a hunch that it could belong to a Latin American country. The mystery is finally solved. Sincerely, Max
