Its a well known wartime pattern. From the pics i think it could be a good one.
Maybe better pics from the inside, stamp and seam if there is one to see.

first,, I've been having a problem openning photos here. Usually one or 2 only open half way, weird.. Anyone else with this problem?

2nd, if someone has a problem with a ring please point out the concerns... And as always,,good photos rule! Wink

, always post as many and different views as possible. Use up the photo size limit,,it is 100kb now I think...

the seam is a curiosity. Cool ring though! The luster looks dead on. Stamp pics will help to authenticate.
Back of skull would be interesting to see too!? Wink
Cheers

Hi, not sure it's seam, ok let's leave it. Right blow "seam" is casting flaw, see arrows on pic. Then one more point to look for is on band marked 2. No way it could be stamped, on die can not be such "thing" where metal flows arround, it will be impossible to get ring out of die. Next thing there between bones are "footprints" of excessive wax from rubber mold. That is a result of low grade wax injector or rubber mold being held in hands without clamp during wax injection or bad rubber mold or there are few more possibilities. On ring we see it as metal between bones, snakes instead of thru holes between bones, snakes. Hope this is enough to proove it is casted. Picture of inside most likely would show more of casting traces.

can't really see what #2 is,, on original 2nd photo [only photo that fully opens for me!] of area just looks like a black smudge/build up point.

#1,,I've seen repairs to a die and they'd make an area similar like that. Especially on this pattern with the holes/clear areas by snakes head [a weak spot],,,or yes a bleed out from wax. But if so there would be correction after it was molded .. Is that mark the correction ..

Could be the lighting used for photo , but this rings got some good coloring to it, and just enough ageing. Yes that can all be done by a counterfeiter,,,if you get a chance please, some better photos all around...
