I see no glaring problems of course more detailed pictures would help. Which maker mark does this have?

Does not appear to have that unique Jung grip wire?

Tom , it seemed to me anyhow that it looked the same as Whittmans Pg 197, reference to twisted brass wire. Is the gilt known for this maker or a rarity? Thnx Tiep

Well from that pic it does have the unique wire .I have never seen gilt on this maker- which maker mark does this have? the double mark one on each side? If the gilt is real acetone will not remove it you must be very careful if you attempt this it will melt plastic.

Tom, the dag has Name C& J on obverse under the swaz and the shield with the Z in the blades reverse. I have seen another dagger on GD here with gilt pommel. T

Tiep,
I picked one up this summer. Looks very similar to yours. There is a less gilt on the swaz, but everything else is the same.

Tiep:

I think that gilt is rare on these daggers. Mine and any others that I have seen have no gilt at all.

You have a good find there.

Grip. Wire looks the same, I think it is unique to C & J Lufts.
