Hello,
Mr. Pepera - that is a nice part of a picture and I really like that card with the Julleuchter!!
To Mr. "Kingtiger": a Jul-corner was supposed to be in every serious SS-household for celebrating the wintersolstice. A big wooden chest from oak (a tree of life / Lebensbaum as the symbol for the family history and the roots of their ancestors was carved upon the surface / the front side of the chest) containing family documents and the Julleuchter upon the chest. Behind the chest a special handwoven tapestry with animal themes and a tree of life on it again.
I recently picked that up in an older article written in the "Militaria" - magazine published by Klaus Patzwall in Germany.
