Looks like a cut down Imperial with 3rd reich pommel added to update. Blade made by Muller senior and appears to have been polished at some point unless it's plated which I doubt. Still a nice salty transitional piece. The crossed sword mark is probably a distibutor or retailer.

Imo this blade is no way plated. The photographs have too much light. What i can see in the pics the blade looks good only has some scratches. Either let it as is or ONLY let hande a true damast expert with it otherwise much more could be destroied than saved.
Also disambling of daggers with these delicate ivory grips imo has to be avoided. Ivory is a "living material" and this one might be about 100 years old and the age cracking might lead to a totally brocken grip.
Handle those items with care, they are much older we are.
Looks like a nice pre 33 dagger also worn during the certain period. for sure a keeper.

It is a updated imperial navy. The damascus blade was made by Max Dinger for WKC ...GB&S is a old Dist. company I could look in my (Reference BOOKS) and tell you the date they went out of business etc... The blade has been shortened (not uncommon) this dagger was even updated in imperial times... I have seen pictures of this dagger before....Much of this basic info can be found in a few books --Edged weapons of Imperial Germany (Johnson) and Navy book (Wittmann)

My first thought Damast, Stewarts photo's are instantly recognisable.
Looks like a nice early dagger.
