Mark you have too many of thoughs there SA daggers, what if that there big damn in the middle of Tennessee bust and floods out your dagger collect (Yes I've been there, T.V.A. Dam about the only lake in tennessee right ). But I feel the SA's are threatend by this and you should send them to me in Michigan where nothing happens beside snow, rain, oh and freezing rain. Sweet Dagger Mark

Very nice score. Those stampings are typical of the Nn gruppe

congrats Mark, very nice piece. Could you take a close look with a magnifying glass to see if there was another set of numbers underneath these?
By the way, the fact that you have there the number 15 by itself, instead of the more frequent xx/xx (sturm/standarte) may well indicate that the owner was part of Brigade Staff, that is, Brigade 15. Some info about this Nordmark Brigade:
SA-Brigade 15 Westholstein - command in Itzehoe, made up of: SA-Standarte 85 - Heide, CO SA-Standartenfhrer Khler SA-Standarte 163 -Rendsburg SA-Standarte 212 - Itzehoe SA-Standarte 265 - Pinneberg, CO SA-Standartenfhrer Becker SA-Reiter Standarte 15 -Itzehoe.
One of my 3 Nm numbered pieces comes from Standarte 85 of the same brigade 15.

Very interesting Gustavo, thanks for this info. This dagger has no other markings whatsoever and the numbers you see are very deep and not lightly struck. Mark

Hey Nats
Almost certainly, BR followed by 10 is indicative of Brigade 10, that is, this guy was on the staff of Brigade 10 (possibly an officer) in Gruppe Pommern, (modern day Poland)

Gustavo the last numbers, do you think they are the individual himself? Would this be a party# or an SA registration # maybe?

The sad thing for us is that there is very little information available in the form of SA rank-lists or anything of the sort. On the flip side, there are PLENTY of superb photos at the National Archives of early SA formations, so all is not lost!

SA Brigade 10 was originally in Gruppe Ostland. When Gruppe Pommern split off from Gruppe OST, Brigade 10 moved to Gruppe P. Brigade 10 was later disbanded, so you don't see a Brigade 10 in the 1935 SA list of Brigaden and Standarten.
