If I need to afix one of these to a cap, I usually use a 2 part epoxy such as JB Weld(to attach new pins, of course) and then very carfully attempt to line the pins up with existing holes or, if neccessary make new pilot holes and then very carfully bend the pins. This takes practice and can be frustrating but, it works for me.
