Anyone saw the 21.12.42 SS TK HR Ring detlev sold off today? went for $1857.00
I think it was a steal with good exterior. The recipient's name had been scratched off.

Don't want to speak for Rick but I believe he means "real". Like "period made".

I would not have bought that ring. It looks very rough inside and out. Not from normal wear either I think. But, that's only my personal opinion. Mark

Was the ring in question certified by Don?
Can't beleive someone would buy or offer one of these without a certification especially these days.
Sure there are authentic ones out there without the paper but why not have a high dollar item like this looked at by one of the experts who's made these things his life's work.
Good for the buyer and the seller in my opinion.

I seriously doubt it, but for sure if the buyer will get Don's CoA he let us know, just to proudly show his steal... Ric

Military - That's why I said it. He can SCOLD all he wants. There was NO reason to chastize you for saying that. In FACT, I think it might even be a "JAPANESE SUPER-FAKE"!! Actually, you can't tell very much from the photos. Maybe it's a Vietnamese super fake!

That can't be the rumoured "Japanese Super-Fake". Can't be! If so, they have to get better on the Himmler engraving. For me from just the photos the "H.H" looks "bad". And Detlev selling an original SSTK for $1,900. !!?? That's got to be the biggest Red Flag of them all. -serge-

Serge, I agree with you, but i guess if the buyer had done his homework, he would have known about it. I believe Detlev offers a lifetime gurantee?

Well. If the recepient's name was "FRANK" I for one can understand why it was filed off!! Although that example Neimann is pedaling looks to be a real dog that wouldn't fool many. Does it come with his COA?? Jim
