The gold piping, eagle and ****ade suggest General Officer Rank...but of what?
The blue is reminiscent of Luftwaffe , or DLV due to M1929 eagle, but the thin metal oak leaf ****ade seems to be Reichswehr!
The cap band may be Old Comrade-type (but no swastikas). I don't recognise the maker's label either.
My best bet would be a put-together cap of a genuine between-the-wars Comrades Organisation of some kind, plus some fake(?) insignia.

this hat is pictured in wear by ERNST UDET, AND DESCRIBED as very early luftwaffe. The book is E.W.W.FOWLERS NAZI REGALIA page 143.not colour but appears identical

Interesting hat..the Fowlers book with Udet in it shows him wearing an early DLV visor cap, grey with dark grey band..similar to the early Luft visor cap..

The wreath on the original posters cap was used circa '35-'36 by the Heer, and the early use of the party eagle would make sense in that time frame..

The oakleaf banding is similar to the later DAF political leader visor cap, minus the later wreath and eagle..

It is also very similar to the visor cap for the Deutsche Snger Bund visor cap..

Looking at the two, i tend to think that it was a DSB visor cap pressed into duty as an Early (1935) DAF high leaders cap
