thanks for your reply!how do you tell a real set like thease?i thought the fronts looked ok but didnt think the backs looked good i did not think the pips or tag looked right,shouldnt the numbers be of blue ink not black?im looking to buy a set for my display but dont want to get burnt!thanks again,,,,tim

These are totally wrong. Just the materials along are enough to determine authenticity on these. Find good photos of known originals and compare. You'll quickly see my point.

Tim #1 - Here�s something to compare with, these originals would be the style and type that the fakers were trying to copy in the images you�ve posted. First hand comparison is still best, hope these pictures can help you out. This pair was removed from what remained of an original SS collar. The ribbon was added in the field. The back of the runes tab has suffered some minor moth damage in one corner. Other than that, normal wear and tear, slightly salty but still in very, very good condition.
