HEY GUYS
JUST PICKED UP THIS MINT POLICE BAYONET. I NEED SOME HELP IDENTIFYING WHAT CITY OR TOWN THE POLICEMAN WAS ASSIGNED TO. THIS IS MY FIRST POLICE BAYONET, AND IT SURE IS A NICE ONE. ANY INFO WOULD HELP OUT.

Well, I believe that is the first Paweco marked Prussian Police bayonet I've ever seen. Houston? Billy? Anyone? Comments??

Wow, first time for me too. The only Paweco pieces I've seen were the long blade pieces sometimes attributed to Customs use. Very nice piece Spencer.

Thanks for the help guys. Is this a rare varation or is this just a blade they had in the factory and the decided to use it? is paweco a maker in soligen???? Thanks for all the help.

PAWECO is a contraction of Paul Weyersberg Co and was an alternate mark used by them although not frequently. Nice that yours has both marks. I don't know about rarity but Denny & Billy seem to think it's rare on a police bayo. Yes, from Solingen.
