Hello friends,
as you know I was looking for a LW dagger for quite a while and I got now finally lucky. The grandfarther of a friend died and they had a dagger which they wanted to give into good hands. So I knew it was an original and who had it and came from and that all for about $500. It came with a portopee and the hanger!!! Overall it is in good condition. It has a white grip which has a lightscratch and the wire seems to be corroted. The blade is in perfect condition with pin point tip and no spots. The stamp is from Spitzer C.Gustav. The leather is in place and the eagle intact. The hanger has some wear, so has the portopee. It has some dirt on it and some oxidation on scabbart ( all screws in place).
I would like to know if I made a good catch on it, if this is a comon dagger manufacturer and how to clear it so it looks better.
