I don't like the maker's mark. Here is a picture of an original I took from the Wehrmacht Awards website. There are a lot of fake Walter Schott WWI sub badges around. I am afraid this one is a reproduction.

I emailed one of the moderators of the For Sale section. I would hate to see a member lose hard earned cash on a piece like this. These WWI sub badges are heavily reproduced and are a true minefield.

Compare the marks Dave. The one posted here is correct for this maker. The one in the sales thread is not.
