Andy,
WKC did make these all steel KS98. One thing you often notice with these bayonets is that they are slightly larger overall than the plated Extrawaffen KS98 and they have a T slot instead of a T/O slot. I notice the one you show has a slightly modified T slot and not a T/O slot. It does seem that it was extensively reworked by somebody.
