Here is the last of my recent pickups. This is a nice lightly worn apple-green Waffen-SS M35 helmet. It is a Q66 with lot number 664. The dome stamp is slightly faded but still visible revealing a 1938 date. The liner band is also dated 1938.
There is a name on the liner which appears to be "Zoty". A search on the German War Graves website shows only one soldier by that name...Hans Zoty. Unfortunately it is very difficult to know if this is the original owner since there is no rank given with his name.
This helmet is featured in Kelly Hicks' first book "SS Helmets - A Collector's Guide" on pages 69 and 70.
