This one appeared at our local sites... attic find in bad shape. I am not able to read the maker in full, or find it somewhere... Who is it?

They are not easy to find but are not rare either. People tend to pay less attention to these "empty double oval" trademarks as they don't have the same appeal as some of the special designs.
There are enough of these "empty double oval" trademarks that I am convinced that these were a stock item for the people who prepared the templates and a manufacturer without a specific logo could just order one of these with their name. 100% speculation, of course.

No. Not rare at all, but very well made with great wood grips.

My vote would be Bruno Heimbucher, if it exists.
This maker was mentioned in an old Manions catalog. They showed a pic of the front of the dagger but not the maker's mark.
As Manions was not always that accurate, and as that was the only one ever mentioned, who knows if it is real ?

Dave There are more than 10 really rare ones, so picking the top ones would depend on your taste. Some of the logos are very inventive and interesting, some are just stock "empty double oval" and other are the name and location written on the blade.
