I have had these for a few years and never knew what they are exactly. Can someone enlighten me as to a rough value and what they are?
Hunting Daggers? Trench Knives? Or?

These are private purchase knives with bayonet type blades and scabbards. They were worn by some with the "walking out" type uniform but were also used as a hunting knife or trench knife. Some have etched blades. Usually circa WWI and the 20's to early 30's.

This is what I was hoping to find out. They couldn't be better, since I am an avid collector of Weimar Reichswehr unit marked Lugers and holsters.
I had a sense that they are what you have described, but wanted an expert confirmation.

Is the construction technique of the hilts typical? (I've never seen a cylindrical hirsch style grip riveted like these are at the midsection.) Neat pieces Ron.
