It is obvious that some commenting on this thread haven't purchased too many veteran acquired pieces. So, testimony is something that is not a ploy in this case. It is hard to argue with those involved who brought the item home from the war, although some will never believe the story, regardless of the proof. That being said, there is little more to make the non-believers change their opinion. Next, as I have never bought or sold one, nor do I have a stake in any being sold or offered. I have, however, handled a few over the years and have seen several bought and sold and can say, without reservation, that I believe there is no doubt that these were period manufactured and assembled and WORN.
