I recently came across this armband at an antique market in Germany. I am unsure wether or not it is authentic. The material is cotton or linen and the lettering has been printed on.

Thanks

You get the same answer that you got on the "other" forum,,, this is a piece of crappy fake...... period... silk printed on one side.... modern $ 6.00 repro....

you got ripped off.... try bringing this to a big show and see how quickly you get laughed out of the place...

There are legitimate examples of civilian armbands for Wehrmacht support possitions. I think this is what is being faked here. It does not make sense that an armband would be as specific to the "Waffen SS". This type of identification should be more generic I think. Good luck anyways.

The yellow Waffen-SS armband is an authentic TR item. It was used on the Eastern Front for SS volunteers.

This example, however, is fake.
