Just thought I'd report on the SS things I saw at the show, and there was plenty of it there.
It was also very nice to meet some of the fellow SS collectors in person, I wish there would have been more time to talk, but everyone is always in search of more treasures. (and afterward I was in no state to talk...)
There was an over abundance of real SS cufftitles, as at least one huge collection of 60 that I know about was let loose with some very rare ones being sold: Freikorps Danmark, SS-schules, TK, HJ, Wiking, Michael GaBmier, Frundsburg, pretty much all the ones you normally don't see. There were several other people selling with 20+ cufftitles on thier tables as well. A surprisingly young Robert from here had many of his very nice things shown too.
A friend of mine bought one of Himmlers shoulderboards that was being offered by Bob Hritz. Pretty high speed stuff...
I didn't see that many SS runic tabs, and only a few TK tabs, a few of the guys from here scooped up some of the more intersting TK tabs that were there.
I saw a nice Westland Board and a pair of W westland slip on cyphers. I was looking for a pair of rayone white piped slip on em borads, but didn't find any.
I saw one SS 2 Germania tunic being gone over across the asile from me, with a well respected ss collector but I didn't want to nose in on it, but from what I could see it looked good.
I managed to score a rzm "Das Reich" cufftitle for my own collection, and a nice horsemans badge to put on my SS cav officers tunic.
It was a great time, just wish I had more money...

Just returned from the SOS also and Jerry was quite correct about the abundance of cuff titles. Picked up a combat worn HJ and observed at least two others in mint condition on other tables. SS cloth from cut-offs to uniforms were represented. How many of the SS uniforms were original is the question, any ideas from the pros ? Been searching for over five years for a bullion SD diamond and there were TWO to pick from! Noticed the prices were all over the board and dealers were in the mood to bargain. But that was on Saturday and if anyone stayed till Sunday...

Tom Wittmann bought a Dutch HJ knife, I think. The ones with the cream colored grip and the blue seagul mark.

I picked up One SS tunic and One SS visor , also a document group for a SS totenkopf division Artillery NCO. The tunic came out of an old collection in Texas where I guess the guy died and a dealer was selling the stuff. I know some other forum members got some nice things also from this collection. The SOS was really good this year. I sold alot and was finding some killer deals. And yes good deals on Saturday and Sunday!

Seems like a very nice tunic.
Im interested in the price trends since I think the major US shows are trend setters for this globe.
We have seen some insignias like cuffs having flattened out in price and some rare stuff is still climbing I guess.

Kevin picked up a nice tunic. I got a WSS officer's tunic, dot pattern M44 jacket w/sleave eagle, NSDAP Kreis tunic, prison official tunic, and factory protection tunic that all came from the same collection as Kevin's tunic. Doug

It was realy a great show and for my point of view the best one I ever went. I am surprised I didn't saw you at the show Doug. Was nice to meet Kevin and Jerry at the show and of course also Peter & Bob and many other collector friends. Jerry, I guess I know the #2 tunic

Robert,
I looked for you at the show, but I think you were already gone. I was late to the party. I only arrived at the SOS on Saturday morning. Will you be at the Stuttgart show?

Nice officers tunic Kevin. It appears to have Heer shoulder boards or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

No , they are army boards with screw in ss marked buttons (RZM 155/40 SS). Never was a breast eagle on it. That is what I like about the lighter weight tunics made of wool rayon blend , they show any previous holes made and this tunic has none. I got really lucky finding this one. Kevin

Here is the WSS tunic that I got out of the same collection. The interesting part of this tunic is the NSKK cufftitle.
I had my friend David Delich check this one out. When he saw it, he said 'I know this tunic' and proceeded to pull out polaroids that he had taken of it in the early 60's when it originally surfaced. He is helping me to trace it back, as he knows the collector that originally vet purchased it.
