I dont normally bother too much on the quality of my blades, being more interested in having an example, however with etched dress blades the value is in the condition, a rough combat bayonet is excusable as is a very rare one (i have one that was one of only 250 made in 1902 so having one is very uncommon so condition was not an option) as a place holder, but for dress blades go for as good as you can get, another one will always come around again. If th eprice drops to no more than 200 then that would be an aceptable sort of price
