Louie, Thats killer, I love finds like this, is there any story as to how and where it was found, I wonder what condition the blade is in if there is anything left of it. Just chuck a couple of insignias in the new custom grip and your ready to go . If you do end up with it keep us posted as to what you decide to do with it.

If I can talk him out of it, I already have plans on what to do with it! I am going to leave it as is but clean and polish out the root, and maybe just try to knock some of the rust off the scabbard so it looks a little nicer and use it for a show table or desk ornament. I can't concieve of a better conversation starter! 3FL

If I do end up with it, it is going to be awful hard to resist trying to find out what kind of dagger it is. Let's see, if I can just loosen up the scabbard a little more I can see the blade......OOPs! Dammit! 3FL

Hell man..leave it like that. Call it "as is"...definately one of a kind. The only instance where a bad grip will raise the value.

Hi Guys, Well I managed to score it off the guy! I will post some more photos and get as much of the story as I can and post it also as soon as it arrives to me. I ended up paying about $200 for it! Am I nuts? I did find out, so far, that it came from a worksite in Berlin where some new apartments were being built! 3FL

3FL: A dagger of this renown should have a name. We're all familiar with the Crack Pipe Redemption dagger in the notable Manfred Vogel collection and I think it would be fitting to christen this one as the Bill Stump Memorial Dagger. If Bill were still with us I expect he would heartly agree with a few suitable if in fact unprintable for general consumption comments.
