For many years it was thought that Seilheimer used only the PS logo on their Hunting and Forestry models. To find the "Dog" logo is rare. IMO a very appropriate Maker Logo for a Hunting piece. Although some have seen this one before I though it wouldn't disturb anything showing it again. -serge-

Very nice Serge. Really clean looking stamp. I wish my cat would hold my daggers like that. James

Thats a rare mark, yours was the first I have ever seen, it's such a great conditioned example as well, it doesn't really get much better than this example, top class all the way.

Thank you jager and Baz for the kind words. I just think it's so appropriate to have a hunting dog with a sword in his mouth as a makers logo on a hunting cutlass or Forestry dagger. -serge-

That's correct Sturm. Been looking for a long time and they came up where least expected. It's a big part of the thrill of the hobby. -serge-

Serge: Fisher states in his Quick Reference that Seilheimer had three patterns of Forestry Daggers, # 120-Jr Forestry, # 110-Sr Forestry and # 115-Sr Forestry with engraved cross guard and 'D' grip shield. Do you have all three and do you have each with the three maker marks? Not that this one by itself isn't amazing enough. John

N. 100 Hunting. The N.115 with fancy crossguards I have yet to hear anyone to have even seen that one. Same for the Jr. Hunting N.120. Perhaps one day one will show up. -serge-

Or is it WOOF, WOOF, WOOF?
Thank you for showing.

Thanks Sturmbrigade and John. A Paul Seilheimer with the Dog Logo is a challenge to find on any dagger, except on a parade bayonet where they are seen to wander about on occassion. -serge-
