The price is a big time joke and I hope nobody is so stoopid.

KP,

I would rather put the money towards the purchase of a helmet. Besides, as Robert says, that is way too much for a typewriter with a SS runes key. I have seen them sell for about half that price.

Cheers,

Darryl

No, I was not thinking of buying it but I thought it was an interesting item to show. I have never seen one before.

They are cool for about 15 minutes, then unless you are faking documents, they are heavy boat anchors....

You also have to watch them, as when they denazified some of them, they had the runes ground off the actual striker.

SS SS SS SS SS SS SS SS -I guess it IS more fun with the typewriter...

well Soorry, I diden't know some were so sensative. I guess I'll keep it extremely and strictly on Helmet topics. Like I said earlier,I just thought it was neat to share, so I did. Don't worry it wont happen again.

It's not a matter of being sensitive. It's a matter of common sense. Wink

Categories are created to avoid chaos and confusion. And to help steer collectors who are interested in different aspects of the hobby to topics that interest them.

If I am interested in German typewriters and not in helmets, I would miss this topic if I did not frequent the helmet forum. If you would have put it in the Miscellaneous Militaria and Regalia Forum or another more appropriate forum, you would have probably had a wider audience for this topic and a more active discussion.

And the title...

Hey where is the sensitive comment/remark coming from? Nice typewritier and no one said anything derogatory. Appreciate that you postied no matter where you posted, I personally don't care. As for my comment they are my opinions and that is that. I think that these typewriters, although interesting and neat are overpriced at the $1600.00 price quoted. Myself and other members have seen them offerred far cheaper and they are not quick sellers.I personally do not know of anyone that owns one or collects them. Some people, less sensitive than you appear to be would have accepted this as advice. I have read the other cooments as well and do see any replies that would or could have offended someone. cheers, Ryan
