Looks ok to me from what I can see, to add more than one picture to the same post just click the "reply" button on the lower right of the page to reply to your own post and add another attachment. Is it maker marked?.

hello, and welcome to the forum!. 900 aus works out about 387 in sterling. which is a lot for an un-maker marked 2nd luft dagger. but, if it makes you happy!, it`s only money after all. Big Grin

It is also possible with close up pictures of the scabbard bands and screws, pommel and crossguard front and top to determine who your dagger was made by or at least what manufacturer supplied the parts. Alot of the smaller firms utilised parts from larger makers and if your going to focus on luft daggers Wittmanns book on " Daggers of the Luftwaffe " is a must. I am not very good on luft ident but some of these parts look Alcoso, welcome to the forum Smile.

thankyou soooooooo much i'll try get close ups.

could be worse could of paid all that for a fake lol i have a ground numbered rohm with pics in the Rohm section

think i will stick to luft, ss, sa Daggers, boot knifes etc...

problem is being new not only do you have to avoid fakes you have to try and also buy for what is a fair price. Can you recommend reliable sources i can buy from without worrying about being ripped off thankyou for your valuable input.

Don't forget to factor in the fact that daggers such as thsi need an import permit in Australia and that this makes them worth a bit more.
