Another example. A faded tan tunic with Insignia for a Artillery Oberstleutnant.

And a standard tan tunic with very little fading for a Panzer Grenadiere. The lower pockets of this one have been sewn down.

Hi Nice tunics. What would be the approximate value of the officer's tunic? Thanks and cheers, Ryan

Hello Mark,
Very, very nice displayed.
Not the average collecting area . I guess these tunics are difficult to obtain. Great collection.
regards,
Thijs

Thanks Thijs, Tropical tunics can be found and for much better prices than from any dealer. I still can't get over the fact that many are asking such ridiculous prices for even 3rd pattern tropical tunics which, to me, hold no interest value since most are mint. Personal choice I guess.

Super little collection of some rare tunics.Havent seen too many of them around. The ridiculous price thing is a disease that will peter out in due time.

Hello John, It would be great if it did peter out but it probably won't. Collectors were saying this when I started collecting over 15 years ago. I have come across people willing to pay just about anything for some items. Some of the offers which I have received have been very high but I don't collect for profit, I collect for the love of collecting so have turned all offers down. I know a collector who asked nearly $9000US for a tropical tunic because he decided that, although he wanted to keep it, if someone was willing to pay that much he may as well let it go. A bit rich for me. Happy collecting guys and I hope you all had an enjoyable long weekend.
Mark
