Hello gents, Recently I bought myself this stunning dagger from the firm Puma / Solingen . On the blade of this dagger is the following text .. Nrnberg / Stadt der Reichsparteitage On the handle is a Edelweiss .. IMO this is a rare custom made souvenir from the periode 1933 till 1940+ . Perhaps one of you guys can tel me more about this dagger? Thanks in advance .

Neat.
There are many types of these souvenirs out there, in all types of configurations.

While uncommon, it is definately not a Custom Made Knife, but rather a standard run piece.

Nice avatar Jerome1974.
I've seen this Nurnberg souvenir 3 times over the last 15 years. Back in the mid to late 1990's T.W. photographed the blade of one that he had up for sale in his old offerings. Your's is the first one I've seen with the scabbard, and the painted sheild looks like its in great shape. Did these originally sell with the edelweiss already in place?
Thanks for sharing
