'eric, all I can add at the moment is that 26 is attributed to B. H. Mayer as you probably already know.

A number of cross's were located in Russia and sold throughout the collecting community. I have seen a few in near mint condition and some in varying stages of age. A number show rust.
I have seen one example showing the pin, hinge and catch set up like your example, and others with a differing set up.

Is the base of your hinge horizontaly flat? Difficult to tell from the image.

I also see no problem with the 65 Klein & Quenzer cross.

eric, looks fine to me, but I'm no expert! Perhaps others can comment. Regards, Leipzig

The hinge and the catch look OK. Is the inside top and the piece covering the hinge on the inside a nylon type material?

With an oh so slight pull does the base pull out revealing number codes?

Looks OK to me. Im my limited knowledge of EK's, nothing here screams Floch. Perhaps posting at WAF Cross Forum might elicit more responses.

Eric,
Yes! Good piece. Smile Interior is correct and I can now see the material between the top and bottom, covering the hinge is OK.

Hello,

All of the 65 marked K&Q crosses are original and my comment on the first Mayer badge is that for some reason this one looks like a W&L with a replacement pin but I could be very wrong.
