Take a look at this photo. Lots of helmet types, I think. Look at the fifth guy in the front row. Obvious fake helmet !

I couldn't help noticing the soldier in the front row next to the NCO. He looks as though he is just about fed up with standing there. The head tilted to one side and the hands not pointing down the seam of his trousers. Probably thinking to himself 'when is this speach going to end?'. I'm with a drill unit at the moment and some of my troops look just like him after a short while.

I have seen that look before also on a roll call, an bad hangover.... Perhaps an mass beer to many the evening before? But as you say... An officer who is going on and on about the how proud he is of this companys achivments on the training grounds...
