I will let it to the experts which parts from what firm ZEITLER did use to manufacture their daggers. ZEITLER did have an own "Gesenkschmiede" (blade manufactury) wherin he did produce his own blades for his firm.

wotan I believe Zeitler used what they could buy from others to make up their daggers. We might see parts from WKC, generic, or others and feel comfortable that they used any number of different makers parts.
Your dagger is quite nice........ Denny

Denny, i havnt seen another ZEITLER 2nd Luft in real therefore I cannot make any statemets about differences of their parts. Tom, it is not this glass type I know and have seen on several armies but it for sure is not the common yellow (in different shadings) type seen on many 2nd lufts. It is a "thing between" but tending more to the glass side.

Wotan,
That is certainly one of the rarest with the most character you will see. It is very similiar to my Hack including the fittings and Pack scabbard. Of course I do have a spot reserved for one of these in my cabinet.

Mike, well THAT is a nice cabinet!!! Too sad it is still lacking a true ZEITLER . I am sure it will come by at one time also if it is not mine. On my end I am lacking the HACK. For some reasons I look after those austrian manufacturers but they arent around any more. Once I have owned a mint ZEITLER police officers degen but sold it as I sold most of my collection decades ago. After starting again I never saw one again. I studied and appreciated how the daggers are stored and presented in this cabinet. The felt that is protecting and holding blades and scabbards. IMO overall a clever and very tasteful construction. Congratulations.

Nice dagger, Wotan. I have a Zeitler Police degen and an Army dagger, but not a Luft. Great stuff, for sure.
