I suggest you get close ups of all the parts. Not sure if this is OK as there are a good number of postwar police bayonets out there for sale that are of complete postwar fabrication, some with some period parts & some completely new. They're all marked as this one is, dual marked WKC.
One of the main ways to tell is the stag grip plates, some have newer stag with a lot of white & beige colors, some have wood fashioned to look like stag.
I suggest you do a search on the BCF forum for fake police/polizei bayonets, there may still be some pictures posted for you to compare. Good luck.

From what I see, the scabbard, frog and Portepee appear original. The Bayo I believe is a current repro. I don't care for the trademark stamping , or the depth of the hilt engraving.

For starters the grip plates look to be made from either wood or new stag, either of which would indicate a problem. Secondly the maker mark is "off" from originals & very close to that which we've seen on this type of fake modern production police piece.
I did a search for the old threads that had pictures of the fakes but they're no longer on GD, like so many other informative & helpful threads. Unfortunately such is life.

Hello >Thor62 >>there is a huge difference between the bayonets on the first link and your bayonet the scabbard and the knot that you have seam to be original but the bayonet itself is a newly made specimen >> in order for anybody to tell the difference or have any knowledge about the topic, you have to either collect police bayonets or simply purchase the reference books. The bayonet you have looks nice but is not an original >>the stag grips are probably made of plastic or wood the eagle is very important post some close up pics of the eagle. again Please post very close pictures of the grip, eagle and the maker mark this way the collectors will be able to tell you more about it.

One item I missed is the blades of these new pieces are very different in appearance to the old ones. Most repros that have been offered to me are pieces with genuine stag grip plates that look like they were made last week ! By the way Aleksandr those are very nice examples !
